Antonio Guerrieri, Ph.D., is currently a researcher at ICAR-CNR (National Research Council of Italy, Institute for High Performance Computing and Networking), Italy.
He earned a Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of Calabria (UNICAL), Italy, in 2012.
He spent six months as a researcher at the Telecom Italia WSN Lab at Berkeley, California, and one year at the Clarity Centre, UCD (University College Dublin), Ireland.
He has been involved in several research projects on WSNs, including BMF, SPINE, MAPS, the REWSN Cluster of CONET FP7, the ENIAC Energy To Smart Grid (E2SG), BodyCloud, TETRis, DOMUS, GLAMOUR, COGITO.
He is co-founder of SenSysCal S.r.l., a UNICAL spinoff focused on innovative IoT systems.
He is author of more than 100 papers in international journals, conferences, and books.
His research interests are focused on high-level programming methodologies and frameworks for wireless sensor and actuator networks, building monitoring and control through wireless sensors, body sensor networks, design and development of smart environments, smart objects, Internet of Things, mobile agent systems for wireless sensor networks, smart urban ecosystems, edge computing, voice recognition, audio/video surveillance systems, and IoT development platforms.
