He completed his master’s degree in electronic engineering in 2017 and his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technologies in 2022 at the University of Calabria (UNICAL). Between Oct. 2019 and April 2022, he was a visiting scholar at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

His primary research interests encompass multi-user activity recognition, wearable computing, e-health systems, and the Internet of Things. Specifically, he delves into the methodologies, architectures, definitions, and system validations related to multi-user activity recognition.

Throughout his research career, he has been involved in various international and national research programs, spanning both fundamental and applied research domains. A notable contribution was his instrumental role in designing, developing, testing, and analyzing a contactless monitoring system, a key component of the “Research on Key Technologies of Multimodal Intelligent Monitoring for Healthy Elderly Care” project. Further, his work has been influential in projects backed by esteemed entities like the Chinese Academy of Science STS, the European Union’s Horizon 2020, and POR CALABRIA.

With 24 conference and journal papers under his belt, some of his work has found its place in elite journals, including Information Fusion, which boasts an impact factor of 17. His commitment to academic service is evident from his involvement since 2016. He has graced the program committees of numerous international conferences and has offered his expertise as a reviewer for over ten journals and magazines.
